ABOUT MARIA VALETTA:
Maria Valetta is the author and creator of the blog SipsBitesandSites.com, a flavorful destination for discovering wine, food and travel. Her epicurean interests led her to host ‘The Philly Dish’, the highly viewed online food and restaurant show that was featured on Philly.com, the most trafficked website in the Philadelphia region. Prior to that she was recruited by Philly.com to be the co-host of their original wine show ‘Philly Uncorked’.
Miss Valetta is a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators and an Advanced Graduate of The Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Her wine knowledge has proved useful in wine sales for International Wine Brokers Inc. the well-regarded company she works for selling fine wine in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Maria has spent many years working in the food and beverage industry where she received most of her food education along with the influence of her mother (an excellent home cook and fan of Julia Child). Maria’s love of travel continues to take her to different parts of the world, always focusing on wine, food and culture. When she’s not selling wine, dining, traveling, or writing you can find her hosting fun and entertaining wine tastings events at various locations in the Philadelphia region. Pinot Boutique and Jet Wine Bar are excellent locations in Center City Philadelphia for Miss Valetta to host wine tasting and events.
Maria Valetta has made an appearance on the NBC ‘10 Show’ hosting a wine feature, was an on-air guest on ‘Culinary Rock’ the radio show hosted by Chris Michaels on WiFi 1040am, and has judged important Philadelphia food and drink contests such as the “With Love” Cocktail Competition for The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation, The Rittenhouse Row Cocktail Competition, The Vendemmia Annual Amateur Wine Competition, and The National Tour hosted by The Food Experiment. You need to check the wines made by Gino Razi – some of the best around. His Symposium is unreal and hard to get. He has a great set-up in
delaware County and is producing grapes in Brandywine. A real gem.

We are celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau at Bistrot La Minette on November 18th 2010 to see what the next vintage has in store for us. Our event will be really fun, four courses, with four Beaujolais pairings.
Majestic Wine and Spirits will also be on hand as the “experts” to make the event educational / interesting. It really should quite festive.
